On February 1-3 of the current year, an online training-seminar was organized in cooperation with the Technical Assistance and Information Exchange instrument of the European Commission (TAIEX), the Ministry of investment and foreign trade and the Agency for Technical Regulation.
The event was opened by Alessandro Lyamine, project manager of the delegation of the European Union in the Republic of Uzbekistan, today, it was noted that friendly relations and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Union have been strengthened and many agreements have been reached, which is of great importance in the economic development of the countries.
In particular, it was noted that the European Union's system of sustainable development and management benefits (GSP +) came into force for Uzbekistan on April 10, 2021, which would create additional opportunities for the countries of the European Union to exhibit textile products and other types of products.
The training seminar which was attended by specialists from the public and private sectors, was also attended by Belgian expert Morin Logge, Romanian experts Sperantsa Stomff and Diana Iorga, Bulgarian expert Daniela Milanova-Gorcheva, Latvian expert Eduard Bakaseevs on standardization in Europe, Conformity Assessment, International Accreditation, industry directives, CE marking, ensuring the entry of quality and safe products into the European domestic market (RAPEX), food and knowledge and skills were given to assess compliance with the requirements for the export of agricultural products to Europe, a system of technical regulation, including state control over compliance with the requirements of legislation and existing regulatory documents, products with a high level of risk and with a high level of risk.
At the end of the event, it was agreed to expand technical cooperation with European experts in the direction of regulation.
