As previously reported, a Cooperation Agreement was signed with Uzstandard agency and ASTM International organization of the United States of America, which provided free access to more than thirteen (13,000) US standards and participation in technical committees.

In order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19 dangerous infection, on April 1 this year, 24 standards for medical face masks and protective clothing developed by ASTM International were obtained.

These standards will aid local manufacturers to produce medical face masks and protective clothing in accordance with world standards, improve product quality, rise competitiveness and increase their supply to domestic and foreign markets.
