On March 9, 2020, the Uzstandard agency met with Oliver Diththardt, coordinator of the Regional Project of the Physics and Technology Institute of Germany (PTB) to strengthen the quality infrastructure in Central Asia, PTB metrology expert Clemens Sanetra and international accreditation expert Manfred Kindler.

At the meeting, the Uzstandard agency recognized the cooperation of the Federal Institute of Physics and Technology (PTB) in the development of industries.

German experts provided the necessary recommendations in the field of coordination and technical regulation of the activities of the National Institute of Metrology and the Accreditation Center of Uzbekistan with the requirements of the International Organization for Laboratory Accreditation (ILAC).

In addition, as a result of the meeting, it was decided to organize on March 12 this year a technical training seminar on the role and tasks of standardization and technical regulation when joining to the WTO as part of a project to strengthen the quality infrastructure in Central Asia.
