In recent years, a number of projects have been implemented in our country with the participation of international organizations, in particular with the Asian Development Bank, one of the international financial institutions.
February 25-26, 2020 A training seminar was held at the Miran International Hotel in Tashkent on the topic of risk categorization of food products and food enterprises. The main topic of consideration is microbiological hazards with the participation of international experts of the ADB 9274 project on harmonization of food standards and strengthening food safety in the CAREC countries Cornelis Sonewald and Douglas Byrne.
The purpose of this seminar is to prepare an exposure draft for inspection on the list of imported food products categorized by risk and food enterprises.
The event was attended by representatives of state authorized bodies for food safety control (inspection service), as well as representatives of research institutes, food microbiologists, food industry representatives, in particular, potential exporters of food products, dried fruit in the EU.
An essential role in this seminar is played by discussions of the basics of food microbiology and the intrinsic value of food products, such as water activity (Aw), humidity and pH.
At the end of the event, participants were also informed about the EU requirements for the import of dried apricots and the Codex Alimentarius standards, including HACCP. Various reports were presented at the seminar. Discussions and action plans were held among the participants.
