In order to implement the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated December 12, 2018 №. PP-4059 “On measures for the further development of systems of technical regulation, standardization, certification and metrology” and Decree of May 30, 2019 №. PP-4348 “On additional measures for the creation of favorable conditions for the further development of the electrical industry and increase the investment and export potential of the industry ”, the National Electrotechnical Committee (NEC) was created in accordance with IEC requirements to create a more efficient system  adoption and implementation of standards of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC)

 The National Electrotechnical Committee (NEC), jointly with the Institute of Standards of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Uzatom Agency, Uzeltehsanoat Association, International Solar Energy Institute,Republican Design Institute “UzEngineering”,has local and joint ventures producing electrical products.

The first meeting of the National Electrotechnical Committee (NEC) was held on December 17,2019 at Uzstandard Agency.

The meeting discussed the use of international standards of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and plans for the production of electrotechnical products in accordance with IEC standards, improving the quality of products, enhancing their competitiveness and prospects for the technical committee.
